I started working on this project many years ago for the original client. She needed a special garden due to her handicaps and we designed it especially with her needs in mind. When she passed away, the new owner asked me to design for her a lap swimming pool and spa. As soon as she made this request, I knew exactly how I wanted this pool to look.

The pool became an extension of the patio which flows right out the back door of the house. The pool will sink in to the hillside so that it is flush with the patio. The wall facing in to the garden will be espaliered with a lemon tree so that it is camouflaged in the garden. The garden will continue to be planted with a field of lavender. A bench is installed in the pool so that when one is not doing laps, they can sit and look out at the ocean, the clouds and the islands in the distance.
